About the class...
Children progress through classes according to ability. Age is taken into consideration but it is not the main criteria. The 1 hour combination class gives them an introduction to Tap, Modern and Ballet. It is here that they start to get a feel for the 3 main subjects. An older child starting with Footworks will be offered this class as an entry point.
How much is it?...
The fees for a term are £80. If you join part way through the term they will be adjusted accordingly so that you only pay for the remaining weeks.
Taking exams...
Children from the age of 5 (I.S.T.D. regulation) are given the opportunity to take exams. These are not compulsory but most children like to take them. Striving to achieve their best in dance is a good foundation to take them through their school years and the many exams and challenges they will face. Dance exams should be good fun and a pass is rewarded with a certificate. The vast majority of our students pass with an A!
What to wear...
We have uniform for each subject, some of which is made especially for Footworks. Uniform is quite specific and for this reason we would ask that you do not purchase any before attending so that you do not buy the wrong thing. Uniform is available through The School at discounted prices. In the beginning, school shoes can be worn for tap and modern and ballet can be danced in bare feet.
